Clients who sign up for the Lifeline service are provided with a 'Lifeline' unit (a small piece of equipment that plugs into your existing telephone line) and an emergency button (pendant) that can be worn around the neck or wrist.
In the event of an emergency, pressing the button either on the Lifeline or pendant will connect you to a call centre which is staffed 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
The equipment can be used in the event of a fall or illness, or can be pressed simply if you are in need of reassurance for any other reason.
The skilled operators receiving the alarm calls will work to quickly get you the assistance you need, whether it is a response from a friend or family member, GP or emergency services. Even if you are unable to speak with us we will still ensure you get some help, whatever the situation you may be in.
The pendant will activate the Lifeline from anywhere within a 50 meter radius and should be worn at all times while you are in and around your property, except when in bed or in the bath (shower is fine). It should always be kept within arms reach however in case it is needed while not being worn.
The Lifeline is installed quickly and easily in your home, with no need for drilling or any disruption to your electrics or phone line. Please be aware however that we do need our service users to have an active telephone landline prior to the Lifeline installation being arranged and a minimum of two contacts or one contact and a keysafe to respond if required.
We will undertake an annual check call to make sure that your confidential information is up-to-date and correct.
We charge a competitive installation fee, and there are no hidden charges for rental or maintenance.
