Standhill Infant School, Carlton
Carlton Standhill Infants’ School is a traditional brick building dating from 1923, situated just within the border of Nottinghamshire County Council. It is a two storey building housing the classrooms on the ground floor and the staffroom and office on the first floor. Most of the children transfer to Porchester Junior School at the end of Key Stage 1.
Most of our children come from the immediate area of the school which has a mixed range of housing. Our catchment area reflects the diversity of an urban area. However, there are also a number of out-of-catchment admissions to our school.
There are 5 classrooms. The classes are organised as follows:-
- 2 x Foundation Stage Two class
- Year One class
- Year One/Two class
- Year Two class
The staffing complement consists of the Headteacher, 5 FTE class teachers (including 1 job share), 6 part-time teaching assistants, 2 office staff, a caretaker and 5 MSAs.
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
